Welcome to the Allergen & Dietary Requirements section of our Parent Help Centre.
We understand how important it is to ensure your child’s meals are safe and suitable for their dietary needs. Whether your child has food allergies, intolerances, or specific preferences such as vegetarian, halal, or gluten-free options, this section will guide you through everything you need to know.
Here you’ll find helpful articles to help better manage Allergen and dietary requirement queries from parents at your school:
Adding allergens and setting DR requirement menu: Guide to managing diner records – MCG Consulting Group
Please note: If the allergen and dietary requirement fields on a diner record are greyed out, this indicates that the parent has an active online Hub account. In these cases, it is the parent’s responsibility to ensure their child’s allergen and dietary information is accurate and kept up to date via their account.
Setting up a dietary requirement menu: If Evolve4 typically manages your school’s menus and you require a new menu to accommodate specific dietary requirements, please contact the individual(s) responsible for creating your menus. They will be able to provide us with an appropriate dietary menu, which we can then implement for pupils with specific needs. If you as a school provide us with menu's to implement, please ensure all allergens and meat species is included for each meal. We also require you to mention the week cycle for each week of the menu.
If a dietary requirement or allergen needs setting up for a child:
If the fields are not greyed out, allergen and dietary information can be updated directly within the child’s diner record.
However, if the parent has a MyEvolveHub account, they can update this information themselves. To do so, they should:
-
Navigate to the Accounts section at the top of the screen and select the appropriate child.
-
Then, access the Settings menu from the panel on the right-hand side.
-
From there, they will be able to update the child’s Allergy and Dietary Preferences.
